Create accounts
Create accountsGeneral
To set up a POS system, the first step is to create POS accounts, with which you can define individual locations or users. A distinction is made between POS cash registers and POS users. The structuring of these is entirely up to you.
What is the difference between POS cash register and POS user?
A POS cash register corresponds to the closed system through which you track transactions, sessions and cancellations.
Any number of user accesses can be created to a POS.
Multiple users can access a POS at the same time.
A POS user account corresponds to a fictitious email and password that you can use to log in.
A user account can only have access to a single POS cash register.
Fees may apply per POS. For more information, please refer to your contract with vivenu.

Before you can start the setup, you need to create your POS cash registers. Each POS cash register serves as a closed system. No data from other POS systems can be accessed in one POS system.
Note: TSE certification fees may apply per POS.
The evaluation and management of your POS systems takes place in the Dashboard. In the POS module, you can create and edit new cash registers. Proceed as follows:
Go to the POS module in the Dashboard.
Select New POS register in the upper right corner.
Enter a name for the cash register.
Select the type of cash register and click Create.

A POS user consists of an email and a password that you specify in your POS settings. A user can only be used for one POS. Therefore the email must not be in use anywhere else via vivenu. You can add as many users as you want to one checkout.
Note: For security reasons, we recommend creating a separate POS user account for each POS employee.
Follow these steps to create a new user:
Go to the POS module in the Dashboard.
Click on the name of the POS you want to manage.
Select the tab Users and click on Create User.
Fill in the required data and click on Create user.

You can set various restrictions for your POS terminals, for example to deny access to statistics and sales figures for your users.
Note: Restrictions can only be set for POS terminals and not for individual POS users. Therefore, they apply to all users who have access to these cash registers.
How do I set restrictions?
Go to the POS module in the Dashboard.
Click on the name of the POS register you want to manage.
Select the Restrictions tab.
Set your preferences and click Save.
