Set up printerGeneral

You can use any printer for the POS Desktop App, which can process PDF files. The type of printer, paper or dimensions do not matter.

Printer setup

  1. Connect the printer to your computer and install the printer driver.

  2. Go into the driver settings and store the correct ticket dimensions, color and feed settings.

  3. Open the POS Desktop App.

  4. Click Printer in the header bar. Select the correct printer and ticket dimensions. Your selection will be noted by a check mark.

The specified ticket dimensions are based on the ticket design that you have stored for your tickets. If no ticket design has been stored in the dimensions, printing is not possible. The tickets can be configured in the Template Designer and assigned to the tickets in the Settings or Event settings.

Set up printerCitizen CL-S400DT

Models that are rented directly from us usually correspond to the Citizen CL-S400DT printer. The setup of this printer is explained in more detail below.

1 Install the software

  1. Download the printer driver from this link and install it on your computer. Note the different versions depending on the operating system.

  2. If needed, you can view the printer's user manual from this link.

  3. Install the latest vivenu POS version from this link.

2 Align Printer

If the Citizen printer is rented through vivenu, the following settings are usually already set correctly and can be skipped.

  1. Open the printer and check that the blue arrows above and below are at the same height as the ticket marker. You can use tickets with punched holes as well as tickets with a black marker. The default settings of the vivenu tickets are aligned to a middle hole punching (position: 4).

  2. Go to the display settings of the printer and select the following setting: Menu > Page Setup > Media Sensor > Reflect. Then close the settings and save.

3 Set the printer driver

Depending on the tickets and the ticket markers that are used, corresponding settings must still be made in the driver. The following settings should be checked in any case:

  1. Store the correct ticket dimensions. The hard ticket format of vivenu is 203x82mm.

  2. Set the graphic settings to the error diffusion option.

  3. Select the printer as default printer.

4 Link POS App

  1. Log in to the POS App with the user data you created earlier.

  2. Select the printer from the Printer menu item in the header bar and the correct ticket format to select the design.

  3. The printer is now connected and starts printing immediately after a ticket is sold.
