Access
AccessGeneral
A secret shop is not indexed, making it inaccessible to ticket buyers through regular searches. Initially, only a URL is generated through which the secret shop can be accessed. Additional access restrictions can also be applied.
The following access restrictions and options are available:
Access via URL
Access via password or coupon
Access only with authentication
Access via tags with automatic redirection
Further details on each option are explained in the following articles.
AccessAccess via URL
General
A secret shop is always accessible through a URL by default, without any additional restrictions. To obtain the URL for your secret shop, follow these steps:
Go to the event settings and select Secret Shops. Choose the desired secret shop to open its settings.
In the top right corner, click on View in Browser. A new page will open, displaying the correct URL, which you can copy.
If you share this URL and no further restrictions are applied, anyone with the URL can access the secret shop.

Access to multiple secret shops via a single URL
If you want to provide access to multiple secret shops through a single URL, you can create a Hero Shop section that combines these secret shops. This section can be hidden in the Hero Shop so that it is not publicly accessible, but all included secret shops will be reachable via the provided URL.
Go to your seller settings and select Shop.
Click on the Sections tab.
Create a section as desired and activate it. Add the respective secret shops as events.
Click Save.

AccessAccess via Password bzw. Promo Code
General
To set up additional password protection along with the URL, access can be controlled using promo codes. This way, the secret shop’s offerings remain hidden when the URL is first accessed. Access to the secret shop is granted only after entering a valid promo code.
Using promo codes provides additional benefits beyond password protection, such as offering discounts or limiting usage by the number of times a promo codes can be used.
Setup
Step 1: Set Up Coupon Code
Open the Promo Codes module and choose either to create a new promo code or edit an existing one.
Configure the promo code according to your preferences. You can optionally add a discount. If the promo code is to be used solely as a password, set the discount to 0 and do not apply any additional restrictions.
In the settings, enable the option to unlock Secret Shops and select the secret shops for which access should be granted.
Save your settings.
Step 2: Activate Coupon Authentication
Go to the desired event through the Events module.
Switch to the Secret Shops tab and open the settings for the corresponding secret shop.
Select the Promo Code option under Authentication.
Click Save.
AccessAccess with Authentication
General
Similar to a regular event, you can set up a secret shop so that it can only be accessed with a customer account, preventing guest checkouts. This means that initially, only customers with an account can purchase tickets in the secret shop.
A customer account primarily refers to an account created through vivenu. This account can be set up at any time. If you have Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled, the corresponding SSO settings will apply.
There are two different options for enforcing authentication at various stages of the checkout process:
Enforce Authentication
Expand allSetup
To enforce authentication, follow these steps:
Go to the event settings and select Secret Shops. Choose the desired secret shop to open its settings.
Scroll down to the Authentication section and select the desired option under Enforce Authentication. If you choose Prevent Checkout, you can also set a Maximum Number of Orders per Customer.
Click Save.
Maximum Number of Orders per Customer
The maximum number of orders per customer determines how many orders a customer is allowed to place through this secret shop. This limit does not apply to the number of tickets but only to the number of transactions.
The maximum number of orders per customer can only be set when Prevent Checkout is selected for the authentication setting, as the system needs to decide whether the customer is eligible before the order process begins.
AccessAccess via Tags with Automatic Redirection
General
Customers can be automatically and seamlessly granted access to secret shops and alternative offers. When you define specific customer groups, the customer is automatically redirected to your secret shop as soon as they open the checkout for your regular event. This eliminates the need to share URLs with all your customers. Instead, they can visit the regular shop and will be automatically redirected to the offers in the secret shop.
Note: It is important that the customer is logged in with their user account so the system can identify their tag.
This feature is particularly useful when there are too many customers who need access to the secret shop, making manual URL distribution impractical. In such cases, all email addresses of these customers can be imported into the system with the corresponding tags.
Examples of use include:
Customers with a Gold Pass receive discounts on all tickets.
Sponsors gain additional access to blocked VIP seats.
Students receive a student discount.
And more
Setup
Step 1: Set Customer Tags
First, assign the appropriate tags to the customers you want to grant access to the secret shop. A tag is a category represented by a short term or number, such as "VIP," "Sponsor," or "Season 2025."
These tags can be added to any customer, including those without a customer account.
Note: Data saved for a customer without an account will remain if the customer later creates an account with the same email address.
Tags can be added in three different ways:
Customer
